Why We Started
Basepoint Solutions Group exists because Human Services work is both essential and deeply human. We know this field is more than a system; it is a lifeline for families. And navigating the space between regulatory requirements and real‑world impact requires a balance that only comes from lived experience.
Like many in this profession, I didn’t begin my career planning to work in Child Support or Human Services. Fresh out of college, I didn’t have a roadmap for this work, but I did know I wanted a life rooted in service. Over the next 14 years, from the front lines to serving as an Industry Director, I came to understand just how complex, demanding, and meaningful this work truly is. At some point along the way, it stopped being something I stumbled into and became something I chose with intention.
That clarity brought me back to the spark that started it all: a desire to serve more, contribute more, and help agencies strengthen the systems families rely on. I saw a need for a consulting partner that brings clarity and calm to the work, blending strategic expertise with a boutique, human‑centered approach, one that respects the realities of caseloads, communities, and the people doing the work every day.
Basepoint Solutions Group was created to be that partner.
We built a firm grounded in practical insight and a “boots on the ground” understanding of how real change happens. Our work is guided by three commitments that shape everything we do: Service, Ownership, and Integrity. When agencies succeed, families succeed, and that belief sits at the center of our mission.

Meet the Founder & Principal Consultant
Matt is the Founder of Basepoint Solutions Group, a consulting firm dedicated to providing Service-First Solutions for the Child Support and Human Services community.
With over 14 years of experience in the industry, Matt brings a unique, holistic perspective to consulting. Before launching Basepoint, he served for three years as the Child Support Industry Director at national firm, where he led strategic initiatives and large-scale projects. However, his expertise is rooted in a decade of operational experience within a Child Support agency. Starting in direct service, he learned the system from the ground up, understanding the real-world impact policy decisions have on families. He also spent a year working in Child Welfare, broadening his understanding of the complex safety net that supports vulnerable populations.
Matt’s drive to serve extends well beyond the office. As a volunteer firefighter, he understands what it means to show up in high-stakes situations and the importance of reliability and trust. He brings this same "first responder" mentality to his consulting work, prioritizing responsiveness, safety, and community impact.
When he isn’t working, Matt is a devoted husband to Brittany and a father to his son, Wesley, and his daughter, Marley.

Today, Basepoint is a founder‑led consultancy. When you partner with us, you work directly with Matt, drawing on his 14 years of operational and strategic experience in Human Services. There’s no handoff, no layers of middle management — just committed, hands‑on support from someone who has walked the work at every level.
And while we operate with the focus of a small firm, we are building for the future.
Our vision is to become the premier operational partner for the Human Services sector — strengthening agencies, supporting staff, and ultimately improving outcomes for children and families. As new projects come online, we will grow intentionally, bringing in trusted subcontractors and carefully selected subject matter experts who share our values and our commitment to service.
